If you want to explore the jungle and rainforest of inland Belize, head to Blancaneaux Lodge in the Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. The area is famous for its rivers, waterfalls and turquoise swimming pools. Francis Ford Coppola bought Blancaneaux after a visit in the early 1980s and made it public in 1993. The hotel is located by the stream and has a beautiful artificial waterfall. There are only 20 thatched roof huts of various sizes.
